The magical Siiponjoki river
The approximately 20-kilometre long Siiponjoki Nature Trail starts from the northern end of the sandy beach and travels through impressive pine forests, rocky areas and wetlands to the shores of Siiponjoki river that twists and turns in the sandy soil. Siiponjoki is a great hiking destination, and part of the routes is also suitable for mountain bikes or fatbikes.
A shorter trip along the hiking path following the river shore is also possible, such as a day trip with the young ones in the family to a campfire at the Pleuna rest area.
Boardwalks along the sandy beach and birdwatching in Vihaslahti
The over two-kilometre long boardwalk over the sandy dunes offers visitors a great beach view. The pathway continues as a gravel path to the Vihas-Keihäslahti nature conservation area. You can either walk or cycle along the path, and it is also accessible by a pram or a wheelchair. Vihaslahti has a birdwatching tower, a sheltered campfire spot and an information board, and a dry toilet. Vihaslahti is a home to many different species of birds, and visitors can spot them feeding and nesting in the area. The beautiful Maristonpakat area is only a stone’s throw away from Vihaslahti, and visitors can admire its esker views by walking along new stairway paths. Rent a fatbike – for an hour, for a day, or even for your whole holiday!

ADVENTURES IN THE DARK AT ADVENTURE PARK PAKKA
After-dark adventures will start again at Pakka during the autumn holiday weeks! In Adventures in the Dark, the rope courses of Adventure Park Pakka are illuminated with just the adventurers’ headlamps, and the adventure will end by a campfire by the lean-to, where guests can fry sausages or eat their own snacks. The Mega Zipline will also be open after dark. This 330-metre long ‘Night Flight’ after dark from the largest adventure tower in Europe is sure to be an unforgettable experience! Come and experience something truly unique!

SEAFOX KALAJOKI’S SEA TRIPS
Sail with us to admire the beautiful Rahja archipelago or enjoy the crisp autumn air of Maakalla! Our experienced sailors will take you on a unforgettable trip onboard the new DMS Matilda. You will also hear interesting stories about the modern life and history of Rahja archipelago and the Maakalla island. In autumn, we also offer fishing trips and sauna and campfire evenings in the heart of the archipelago, on Eteläkalliokari island. These trips can be offered to groups of at least four people. The boat can accommodate up to eight passengers, and its cabin is heated. The boat trips are done by DMS Matilda, which departs from the boat marina at Keskuskari.
